Diamond League Final Performances Lead This Week's Performance of the Week List

The Diamond League finals took place on back-to-back days in Zurich and Brussels, providing top performances for this week's list. Those two meets were followed Sunday with ISTAF Berlin. There are only a few remaining track and field meets left on the professional circuit. On the other end of the spectrum, high school cross country continues to heat up with more states getting in on the action. View the choices and vote for this week's DyeStat Performance of the Week!

Selemon Barega: The 18-year-old distance runner from Ethiopia broke the World U-20 record in the 5,000 meters, winning the Brussels Diamond League final with the fastest time in 13 years in 12:43.02. He ranks fourth on the all-time list.

Davis Bove: The high school senior from Centennial TN won the Brooks Memphis Twilight Classic by eight seconds, running 15:25 for 5K.

Christian Coleman: The sprinter set a world lead and personal best in the 100 meters at the Brussels Diamond League final, running 9.79. He is now tied for seventh all-time.

Emily Covert: The high school senior from Minneapolis Washburn MN won the High School Cross County Showcase at St. Olaf College by 21 seconds, running 17:07 for 5K.

Cole Hocker: The high school senior from Indianapolis Cathedral IN won the Terre Haute State Preview Invitational by 29 seconds, running 15:35 for 5K.

Caterine Ibarguen: The jumper from Colombia won the triple jump at the Zurich Diamond League final with a mark of 47-9.25 (14.56m) and the long jump at the Brussels Diamond League final with a leap of 22-3.75 (6.80m), becoming the first field-event athlete in Diamond League history to win two titles in the same year.

Conseslus Kipruto: The distance runner from Kenya won the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the Zurich Diamond League final, despite running the majority of the race with only one shoe. He ran 8:10.15 with a photo finish.

Graydon Morris: The high school junior from Aledo TX won the Marcus I Invitational by two seconds, running 15:15 for 5K.

Grace Ping: The high school sophomore from Cotter MN won the Stewartville Bill Glomski Invitational by 19 seconds, running 18:03 for 5K.

Caster Semenya: The middle-distance runner from South Africa won the 800 meters at the Zurich Diamond League final in 1:55.27 and the 1,000 meters at ISTAF Berlin in 2:30.70. She is now ranked fifth all-time in the 1,000 meters.
